NLconnect and Ecosystem Services are strengthening their collaboration around the Dutch Pavilion at MWC 27 (formerly Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. The partnership will make it easier and more attractive for NLconnect members to join the NL@MWC pavilion and benefit from the international contacts, knowledge exchange and business opportunities that MWC offers. For Ecosystem Services, the collaboration provides an opportunity to further engage Dutch telecom companies and the fibre industry in NL@MWC.
Stronger partnership towards MWC 2027
NLconnect was already a partner of the Dutch Pavilion in 2026, which is organised by Ecosystem Services. Both organisations will further develop this partnership towards MWC 2027 and beyond. NLconnect will be more closely involved in the pavilion and related activities and will play a stronger role in connecting its members with the opportunities offered by NL@MWC in Barcelona.
Through NL@MWC, Ecosystem Services brings together companies, governments and knowledge organisations and connects the Dutch sector with international markets and partners. Key areas include developments and opportunities in connectivity and digitalisation, ranging from AI and quantum technology to cybersecurity, digital resilience and technological autonomy.
Connecting the Dutch connectivity sector internationally
The strengthened collaboration will give NLconnect members greater access to the Dutch presence at MWC Barcelona and to the international network surrounding it. At the same time, it will help Ecosystem Services further strengthen the representation of the Dutch connectivity industry within NL@MWC.
“Mobile World Congress has long been about much more than mobile communications. It covers the full breadth of connectivity, as well as the latest developments in digitalisation and technology,” says Mathieu Andriessen, Director of NLconnect. “This makes MWC relevant to companies across our entire membership. By further developing our collaboration with Ecosystem Services, we can better connect our members with the Dutch Pavilion and with the international contacts and opportunities that Barcelona offers.”
Looking beyond MWC Barcelona
In addition to their collaboration around MWC Barcelona, NLconnect and Ecosystem Services will explore opportunities to work together on other activities throughout the year. The aim is to further strengthen their respective networks and expertise and create additional opportunities for companies and organisations in the Dutch connectivity and digital technology ecosystem.
“NLconnect represents the Dutch connectivity industry and is therefore a natural partner for us,” says Mark Beermann, Managing Director of Ecosystem Services. “By bringing our networks closer together, we can more actively involve Dutch telecom and fibre companies in NL@MWC and other Ecosystem Services activities, while creating new connections with companies, governments and knowledge partners in the Netherlands and abroad.”
