During MWC, Ecosystem Services and UlWiMo (PRIMMA) organise on Wednesday and Thursday (March 4 – March 5) guided knowledge mission tours – under guidance of domain expert Koen Mioulet – aimed at connecting participants with leading Dutch and international companies in private wireless networks.
We pay dedicated attention to private 5G for the air- and seaports – logistic hub sector. MWC is frequented by all key vendors and operators from the telecoms industry and their use cases, technologies and solutions will be part of the tour at the expo.

Technology and use cases, inclusive a visit to the Barcelona container terminal BEST
Designated 2 day programme for ports and airports
On the Wednesday and the Thursday of the event we will run a comprehensive programme aimed at this niche and composed of 2 elements.
Day 1 Visit to relevant exhibitors at MWC
The Wednesday we will compose a programme for a ‘tour’ on the MWC, passing by the pavilions of key suppliers and providers in the domain of private networks. Looking at the last 2 years, examples are vendors like Nokia, Huawei, Druid (core) , Airspan (radio’s), Viavi (testing) and more; as well as providers like NTT Data, Verizon, Eurofiber (at the NL Pavilion) KPN, Vodafone, Spie, and others like GSMA.
With these visits, attendees will have a 1-day highlights of all the relevant trends in private wireless.
Day 2 Visit to a leading port deploying private wireless
On the Thursday, the event’s last day, we will visit the port of Barcelona. The port is one of the top 3 ports in Spain that already deploy private 4 or 5G! At Barcelona port we will visit the container terminal of BEST (Barcelona European South Terminal). Where they deploy a private mobile network for crane control, straddle carrier steering, telemetry , surveillance and ambulant work force. BEST is part of the Hutchison group, a global group of ports and terminals that already deploys private mobile networks in multiple of its ports (UK, Sweden, Poland, Netherlands) and has a strategy to roll out in many more.
With this visit the attendees will have a hands on idea of what a port can do with a private 5G network
